A major new audio adaptation of Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice, narrated in its original, timeless form by Dame Julie Andrews, will be released in serialised form from 30th September on the Noiser Podcast Network.
The launch is perfectly timed: December 2025 sees the 250th anniversary of Austen’s birth a cultural milestone being celebrated worldwide with events and adaptations honouring one of literature’s most enduring voices. Whilst October 1st also marks Dame Julie Andrews’ 90th birthday.

Her instantly recognisable voice, most recently captivating audiences as the narrator of Netflix’s Bridgerton series – Lady Whistledown, now brings a unique depth and resonance to Austen’s most famous work.
Spanning 25 episodes released twice weekly, this serialised reading offers listeners the chance to rediscover Austen’s masterpiece in an intimate and immersive audio format. Pride and Prejudice follows the success of Noiser’s recent Sherlock Holmes Short Stories series, narrated by Hugh Bonneville (Paddington, Downton Abbey), which has drawn millions of listeners worldwide.

For this serialisation, Noiser is once again partnering with BBC Sounds, who hold non-exclusive rights to the show within the UK. As listeners settle in for the cosy autumn season ahead, Pride and Prejudice is set to be a highlight for listeners as the dark evenings draw in, with two episodes scheduled for release each week.
