The accolade marks the end of a stellar year for the 13-part series released to coincide with the anniversary of the ship’s maiden voyage.
"It's a great honour to be recognised by The Atlantic magazine," said Producer Duncan Barrett. "What happened to Titanic was a true transatlantic story, and I was determined that our podcast would appeal to both British and American listeners. The show was a real team effort from everyone at Noiser, and all of us were determined to do justice to this enduring story."
Fellow producer Miriam Baines said "The family connections brought profound weight to the story. From Paul McGann's great-uncle Jimmy who survived the disaster to Josyann Abisaab's great-grandfather who left Lebanon for a better life in the United States but never made it."
