In 1483 two English princes, the 12-year old Edward V and his younger brother, disappeared from the Tower of London, never to be seen again. The cold case has fascinated historians for over 500 years, and continues to baffle scholars and archive detectives. Many assume that Richard the Third killed his nephews, but is there any hard evidence? Is it right to conclude that they were murdered at all, when their bodies were never found? Could there be other answers to the greatest mystery in history?
This subscriber-only bonus Short History of The Princess in the Tower is a conversation between our writer, Jo Furniss, and medieval historian Matt Lewis, author of the book, Richard the Third, Loyalty Binds Me.
