Noiser Founder Pascal Hughes released the following statement:

“We are saddened to hear of the passing of Mark Dodson, the much-loved and talented host of Detectives Don’t Sleep podcast.

Mark brought so much joy to our team and to the fans of the show. We have had hundreds of emails from fans saying how much they loved listening to Mark’s cosy-crime mystery stories.

Mark’s remarkable ability to tell a story was a large part of what kept our listeners coming back each week.

He was so generous to our team, on one occasion he mailed BBQ sauce and a bottle of Budweiser from the US to our office in the UK, insisting it tastes better from St Louis, where he lived and where the beer originates.

We are so grateful for having the chance to work with this great talent. He will be missed!”

Mark Dodson was best known for his voice-over work on Star Wars and Gremlins. He joined Noiser in the spring of 2023 and went on to voice 42 episodes of the true crime podcast Detectives Don’t Sleep.
