When Inspector Lestrade brings news of a vandal destroying plaster busts of Napoleon Bonaparte across London, Holmes initially dismisses the case as mere mischief. But when the strange obsession turns deadly and a man is found murdered, the detective's interest is thoroughly piqued. What could possibly connect these shattered images of the French emperor? And why would someone risk everything to destroy seemingly worthless plaster casts?
